May Hui

Graduate Student

Originally from the Bay Area, I moved down to southern California for college and have been living here ever since. After receiving my B.S. from the California Institute of Technology in 2016, I stayed for two years in David Anderson’s lab as a research technician, studying the effects of social isolation on the brain. In 2018, I entered the MSTP program at UC Irvine, where I hope to explore my interest in how experiences are encoded in the brain, and apply that knowledge towards my (future) clinical practice. Outside of lab, I enjoy eating ramen, thrift shopping, dog-spotting, and taking photographs with friends.
