Jose Vasquez
Research Technician
I recently graduated from UCI with a B.S. in Neurobiology. Afterward, I will go on to medical school where I aspire to be a physician. My goal is to join an MD/PhD program where I can use my love of science and curiosity to bring the clinical and laboratory components of my work together. I look forward to the upcoming challenges and aim to one day contribute to our ever-growing body of scientific knowledge. I am hardworking, motivated and easy-going. I enjoy all kinds of food, learning new languages, traveling, reading, and physical activities. I take pleasure in biking, hiking and many other forms of exercise. I have worked as a pharmacy technician for over 8 years and I have also completed my EMT training. I’ve been fortunate enough to spend a summer in northern California where I did some research at Stanford. I want to be able to take my experiences and what I have learned throughout my life and apply it to the research I will be conducting in hopes that it leads to discoveries and further understanding of the mind. I am eager to learn as much as I can in Dr. Beier’s lab and I will work diligently to achieve my goals.
