I am a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering. My bachelor’s degree was also in Biomedical Engineering from Cal State Long Beach with minors in music and chemistry. I did my undergrad research in a biophysics lab using molecular dynamics simulations to better understand the structure and dynamics of biological molecules, and I wrote my undergrad honors thesis on mutations in collagen that cause osteogenesis imperfecta. My research in the lab will include in vivo electrophysiology and calcium imaging. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar, reading science fiction, and gaming.
