Folake Aina
Undergraduate Student
My name is Folake Aina. I’m a Nigerian-American student at UCI majoring in biological sciences, graduating Spring 2020. My goal after graduation is to attend medical school and eventually become an anesthesiologist. I joined the Beier Lab in hopes to become proficient in a broad range of biological processes, and contribute to the discovery of new scientific knowledge. I’m passionate about minorities in medicine and STEM fields in general, and joining this lab was a personal goal, as well as an opportunity to lead by example. In my free time I listen to music, watch YouTube videos, and work on bettering myself!
